Kaspersky lagging problem?

I recently installed Kaspersky antivirus, and now I REALLY LAG. Like I use to download from 50-500kb a second. Now I'm downloading 5kb. help?

"I ran task manager the CPU usage is on the single digits when I'm not doing anything, When I load a page It goes up to 30."

That is NORMAL.

Check kaspersky settings and firewall. make sure its not blocking any safe ports.
