I need help deleting Norton AntiVirus Corporate Edition 7.6!?

After doing a system restore, Norton refused to work, so I decided to un/reinstall it. The problem is, I tried doing Add/Remove programs, and it hangs or takes to long. The Symantec Norton RT works as a process (as listed in my viewer), but my HDD light doesn't show it working, as it stops blinking. When I restart and try again, the shield is still in the tray on my taskbar, but Add/Remove programs doesn't show Norton being installed. So I try popping in the CD, but as it says it's going to install, the installation window doesn't come up, and it's as if nothing happened.

It could be that when you did the system restore it took out some important file that Norton needed...you could just format your hardisk that would solve all of the problems.
