Adssite and Mozilla Firefox?

Hello:

I am in dire need of some help getting adssite off my computer? Are there any 15 -30 day trial scans I can download to get if off?

I've already done Spybot Search and Destroy, Norton antivirus which doesnt even recognize it. I've also done the online scan with Trend Micro and I downloaded the trial for Webroot Spysweeper and this adssite is still on.

I've read some of the other problems people are having with it but I'm not good at going into safe mode to do anything. I'm really skeptical about that.

Please help. Adssite not only keeps giving me popup ads, it has affected Firefox as well. A lot of errors are now in firefox that I cant correct.

If anyone can help me, I sure would appreciate it.

Hi,

Can you see it in ad/remove programs list at all? (start > control panel > ad/remove programs).

If it's there, uninstall it.

If it's not there, locate the following file to uninstall it;

C:\WINDOWS\system32\adssite-remove.exe

I would also suggest running the following program;

SUPERAntiSpyware (this is a very good antispyware program and it is completely free)

I would also recommend running your PC in safe mode - this could be eaiser to remove it.
