My computer freezes, so I'm thinking I can buy Norton Antivirus and Spy Sweeper then add them onto my desktop PC while in safe mode. Then run a scan on for virus' or spyware/ malware while in safe mode. Can I add Norton Antivirus and Spy Sweeper onto my PC while in safe mode?

When is safe mode a computer will not install any thing. all you have to do is to install the norton in normal mode. create rescue disk of norton and then boot your pc using that Disk. They will scan you r computer without booting the windows
