Can I run Avast and Comodo firewall pro with defence +?

My comodo firewall has defence + on it and i have avast and i was wondering do they conflict? Comodo firewal + can scan for viruses,malware.spyware etc but it is not an antivirus software

I run Comodo alongside Avast and Avira AntiVir on separate machines and so far I have encountered no significant problems; however, I did not activate defence + because I am wary of such intrusive "protection". You could run Spyware Terminator (free) which offers HIPS, antispyware and antivirus protection: or use Comodo BOClean; or try PCTools Threatfire as an alternative second line of defence.
