Generic Host service broken after conneting on internet with dialup modem?

On my laptop i have installed XP SP2 not with all updates. Have wireless connection and LAN connection that works perfect when i go on internet, but when I try to go on internet with dialup modem then i got message that Generic Host Service is broken. I didn't have a antivirus and when i was installed him and update databse and then scan he found trojan and also activated in system. After restart no more trojan exist. Then I clean system with antispyware and there were some tracking cookies deleted. I m also update my WinXP with update who solving similar problem, think that solving Generic Host Service which is broken after starting computer but that is not my problem. I must to use that dialup connection and still have a problem. GHS is broken after 10 or 30 or 60 min, no exacly time allways. Now I will try to update Win with all updates but think that I didn't get anything from that.
