I got a virus in my pc. its stopping everything. even online virus scans.?

i got this virus in my pc. whenever i start up my pc a command prompt window opens and closes itself. my anti spyware alerts me of 2 files added to startup. these files i cannot find in windows folder coz they are hidden and when i go to folder options to unhide hidden files it closes the window. even i cannot open task manager window. my protector plus antivirus software cannot detect it and i cannot run setup of anyother antivirus prog because it closes the installation window....... same for online virus scans...... also i cannot run msconfig from RUN window.....

anyone has suggestions or ideas other than formatting?

Try to boot into Safe Mode (hit F8 before Windows XP boots normally), then the virus probably isn't awoken, and disable the startup entry by using msconfig. You can also perform a virus scan because you have better chance your anti virus program will find it.

Start pc in safe mode. Try to disable everything in the start file then reboot in normal mode.Run boot virus file. Might have to go to another pc to download a fix after you identify it. Check for Blaster or variant.|||First you open your PC in safe mode by F8 function button . After then fixed to that bug with virus scanner. After you restart you PC again and store your data in other disk part. After saving data install new OS IN your PC.
