Svchost.exe is a legit Windows system file. It's strange that it is causing you to get high pings. Some viruses can disguise themselfs as Svchost.exe, but I *think* they would usually be in other folders, not the System32 folder - I could be wrong though.

You could try searching your PC for "svchost.exe", then upload them to http://www.virustotal.com/ and http://www.virustotal.com/

They will scan the file(s) using multiple antivirus engines.

Just go to start > search, and go to "all files and folders", then "more advanced options" and make sure the "search hidden files and folders" box is ticked, then search for "svchost.exe".
