If i downloaded Sims 2 off bittorent, Would it work?

Okay, recently i've been going through a Pokemon GBA craze and playing it off an Emulator on my pc -- And something hit me, if i was to download the sims 2 off one of these bittorrent/bitlord sites, would it work do you reckon?

I scan everything before opening it and my pc has 3 different antivirus/firewall protections so the risk of viruses are very low.

But would it come as a complete game?

-PLEASE do not reply if only to tell me to go out and buy it (Last week i went to over 7 local GAME stores to find it on the shelf, and when trying to purchase it, them saying "Sorry, we seem to have mis-placed our last copy, we'll get a new shipment in of them in 3 weeks" -- And i'd rather not but off ebay and spent a whole week waiting for it to arrive. So if you have nothing worth saying, don't.

I wouldn't expect to be the greates gameplay if your were to download. There may be more flaws and glitches if you download it. I would just wait for the shipments to come and then go get it.
