Recover deleted files on your pc?
I recently moved and when I set my desktop pc up again, my work files (graphic images) all seem to have gone missing. I have absolutely no idea how. I have them backed up, but with the move, it could take me months to find the cd's, but I need these files ASAP and have a publisher actually waiting for them.
I've heard in most cases, files can still be found on your hard drive, and I came across this response to a similar question posted:
"U can recover the lost items by scanning you're hard drive. But their is an easier way than that....... Norton AntiVirus has a program that can un-erase your files for U."
So my question is- how do I "scan" my hard drive to find these files? And if I use Norton AntiVirus, how do I use this to un-erase my files?

There's also a utility that un-deletes files that were permanently deleted from your hard drive. Here's a link to that utility:

There really is no way to get back lost files other then the recycle bin. Try the Norton thing, but if i were you id be finding the cds.|||When you delete a file on your computer, you are actually deleting the table of contents of where the file is located on your hard drive. The file will still be there, until you overwrite it with other files, which can be covered from anything you do from surfing the internet to saving other files.
