Things with using 2 antiviruses?

i'm curious. my brother uses 2 antivirus at once. 1 is kaspersky's and another 1 is a local antivirus. he always updates both, but only turns on kaspersky's real-time protector. After he scanned his computer with kaspersky, he turn it off, and scan again using the other one.

Is there going to be any problem with such method?

one of my friends has so many anti viruses that the virus scan detects the other anti virus programs as a virus. it just becomes ridiculous.

it sounds good; but he might have troubles in the future; never trust a method like that. i use an antivirus and an antispyware program. and it works about 4months correctly. so ?|||Running two anti-virus checkers at the same time normally will not cause any problems, just slow down your computer a little bit. You might be unlucky and one of the two will be a problem with the other running but most of the time it is no problem.

I run two most of the time with no problem. I also have two more that I do not have on when connected to the Internet. At least once a week I run both the extra anti-virus programs scanning the computer for things the first two may have missed. ALWAYS keep all anti-virus programs updated. They two I keep on, I update daily.|||Yap it can two anti-virus can slow the system and there conflict can shutdown the system.|||im using 2 antiviruses too for 5 yrs. cuz some antivirus cant detect/read/scan some of my file. like wat happened to me 2 years ago, I already knew that ders a virus in my pc but Norton cant detect the virus but when i scanned it with AVG all the viruses was detected. Im doing dis for 5 years now and ders nothing wrong in my pc.|||It can be problems with that.
