How to uninstall Avast! Antivirus?

They seem to have made it very hard to uninstall Avast. I looked, and found no uninstall button. I tried deleting all of the files. But it was still running, and it has no option to fully disable it. I tried finding the process for it in the task manager. Couldn't find it. Tried to keep it from starting up when I start Windows. But it doesn't let you. It's starting to make me really mad. Can anybody help me out here?

If you are using Windows XP, click on Start>then Control Panel..next click on Add Remove Tab..find avast antivirus in the list and select it to remove..Good luck.
