How to download a movie or dvd from my laptop to an external hardrive.?
My husband is in Iraq, and for him to be able to watch Tv he has asked me to purchase an external hardrive to download movies onto for him to pass the time during the evening. im so new to all of this, and cannot figure out how to download or save the movie to get it to the external hardrive. any help would be great... the best way imo is to get autogk .. read the instructions that come with it ... u need dvd decypter to work with it ... then u can turn dvd movies into 700mb avi files and fit abot 6 or 700 on a 500gig harddrive ..

this is in violation of the DMCA the Digital Millenium Copyrights Act. you can get some programs like DVD Decrypter (google it) and DVD Shrink to make backup copies
you can also clone DVD's too but it sounds like you're brand new to the computer world and you should just read up on computer forums as there are several steps, but you probably wouldn't understand any of the language
