Why can't i download the xbox 360 update to play on xbox live?
Ok i tried to set my xbox 360 up on xbox live but it said inorder for me to connect to xbox love i have to download this update inorder to play... I tried to download it went a full 100% and then told me update can not be downloaded... i went onto xbox.com to figure it out but they dont offer any information on it... Can someone help me plz???

You can try searching xbox.com for an ISO of the update... Download it, burn it to disk and then update manually.
Or you can try clearing your cache and starting again... don't worry, clearing your cache will not destroy any memory, just removes all updates incase one wasn't installed or done improperly.
To do so: Go to the system blade and then select memory.
Press Y on the HD symbol and then press X,X,Left Bumper, Right Bumper, X,X. Once you do this a messsage will appear saying: Do you want to perform maintenance on your Xbox 360 storage devices? Click Yes.

Xbox LIVE is having problems right now so you probably can't connect to download the update, go to www.xbox.com for more details about the service outage. Try again in an hour or two and if that doesn't work just keep trying until the service outage is resolved.
