Yahoo! Messenger download help Please...?

Okay, here's the problem. When I try to download Messenger at the 50% mark, it says that there is an error and has to abort the download... What can I do? I am on a new (to me) lap top, just for the use of information.... Thank you all.

Try it some more, if that doesn't help, try using a mirror site to download it. You may be downloading a buggy install file. You could also be having a problem with your install software that is built in to your computer's software.
