Computer virus?
A few days ago the computer was fine, loaded quickly, internet was doing fine and then all of a sudden its going sloooowww. Before I could download an 18 mb file in 5 minutes now it takes 5 hours. I have McAffee up and running and it says their are no viruses and the computer is clean. I ran the defragmenter but theres nothing to be defragmented. I cannot figure out the problem. Could it possibly be a trojan

Do you have McAfee security suite or McAfee anti-virus? If you have the security suite, update it's database and scan your computer again. If it still doesn't find anything, contact your ISP on the matter. If you have McAfee anti-virus, get an additional anti-spyware, update it and scan your computer. I will recommend Windows Defender and/or AdAware 2007 Personal (both are free).

You should also clean up all the temporary files, internet browsing cache and obsolete registry keys from your computer. Get any/all of these free system cleaning tools and run them:
Advanced Windows Care Personal: http://iobit.com/
Glary Utilities: http://glaryutilities.com/
CCleaner: http://ccleaner.com/
If nothing above works, it's a problem with your internet service provider and not your computer.
