I get pop ups through IE every few minutes for a couple of days after every restart and have been unable to track down anyway to fix this.I can't use CtrlAltDelete to get to my task manager,its been hijacked too.I've tried using Adaware SE and Spyware Doctor but neither work.McAffee's doesn't pick anything up either when I run a virus scan.I'd really appreciate any help I can get,thanks !

Go to "start".."run"..type in msconfig then click on "startup"..uncheck anything creating problems then click on "Services" and do the same...then you'll have to reboot...when system

reboots it will prompt you about the changes you made...just check the box on the bottom left

side saying..."don't show this message again"

To answer your question about the pop-ups, try using a pop-up blocker. You can also go to www.microsoft.com and download their "free" malware removal tool. You should also try running these scans when you turn on your computer.|||do a check in the safe mode.

while the system is booting ip press F8. select safe mode as the option and when ur logged on run a scan withad-aware and msaffee and i would advise to use AVG instead and download spybot search and destroy.
