Something is trying to force install program photo gallery when I lauch windows. It says "installing photo gallery" I hit cancel 4 to 5 times before it stops. Now my computer is so slow it is ridiculous. I have windwos XP amd McAffee virus protection. Can anyone tell me what to do? Thank you : )

Start Run and type msconfig.

Go to startup tab and see what software is scheduled to launch at startup. Simply deactivate it. I would also do a spyware check.

I use Hijackthis to view my startup logs and common registry hijacks. You can fix things using Hijackthis too, but you kind of have to know what you are doing. Download Hijackthis from the source link under Downloads. Run it and view the log it creates. Get help with the log under the Help Forums link.
