Something is trying to force install program photo gallery when I lauch windows. It says "installing photo gallery" I hit cancel 4 to 5 times before it stops. Now my computer is so slow it is ridiculous. I have windwos XP amd McAffee virus protection. Can anyone tell me what to do? Thank you : )

Start Run and type msconfig.

Go to startup tab and see what software is scheduled to launch at startup. Simply deactivate it. I would also do a spyware check.

I use Hijackthis to view my startup logs and common registry hijacks. You can fix things using Hijackthis too, but you kind of have to know what you are doing.
