TurboTax Error 9107?

I installed TurboTax 2007 on my computer a few weeks ago and just tried to use it. It would not open, and directed me to a web page which told me I should search for updates. I did this and got "Error 9107: TurboTax is having trouble accessing updates." This message directed me to another web page that said I had a "connectivity" problem, suggesting that the cause might be Mcaffee or Nanny Somethingorother. I don't think I have either of these programs. Advice on how to fix the problem (in normal-people language) would be GREATLY appreciated!

(PS - I've used TurboTax for years and never had a problem before. I don't think anything much is different ...)

I get the same problem. I'm pretty sure it has to do with the turbo tax update process not working right. It's probably not a firewall problem or a router MTU problem. My recommendation is to just try again in a couple of days.

Immediately, please go to turbotax.com. Click "support" -- customer service / tech support. Tell them exactly what you wrote here. They will respond within the hour. Their software is guaranteed to work or you can request a refund.|||If it was installed a few weeks ago - some of the problems may be because the legislature still had not decided how they were going to handle the AMT - our professional tax software did not have their final update until January 1st.

Doesn't TurboTax have a help line?
